Frequently Asked Questions
About The Service
-
Can we stop on the way for groceries or liquor?
Yes. Grocery stops are included in your fare when travelling to Big White or SilverStar during ski season. If you prefer, you can also order ahead. See the list of recommended grocery stores here.
A grocery stop for Airport shuttles is an extra. Please inquire at time of booking.
-
Can we make a stop for other supplies?
Our drivers may do multiple trips a day so unless it’s arranged beforehand – with an additional cost for the time – stops for winter clothing or ski gear are not available.
-
Can I be picked up at my hotel, home or just the airport?
Yes, we can pick up and drop off anywhere in Kelowna. If you are located outside Kelowna and would like to arrange a special pick up, please contact us.
-
What are the pickup times?
There is no set schedule. We will do our best to accommodate all pick up & drop off requests.
-
What happens if there is bad weather?
While the roads to Big White and SilverStar are well maintained, adverse driving conditions can occur. If a road closure due to accident or poor weather happens, we will do our best to get you to your destination safely as quickly as we can. As these conditions are beyond our control, we can’t take responsibility for a missed flight. So far, we have never run into that situation and we will assist you in any way we can if it ever happens.
-
What is your cancellation policy?
A full refund is available as long as you notify us 7 days or more before your booking. A partial 50% refund is available for cancellations 6 to 3 days prior, and no refund if cancelled within 48 hours.
-
Do I tip the driver?
It’s up to you. If you feel you had good service, then feel free to show your appreciation as in most cases, gratuities are not included in the price.
-
Are you ever late?
We will do our utmost to pick you up at the exact time you booked, however we will not be held responsible if we are late due to bad weather or traffic incidents. Our drivers will stay in contact with you in this case – unless they are in one of the few spots where cell service is not available.
-
What about vehicle safety?
All our vehicles are rigorously maintained and must pass semiannual Motor Vehicle Inspections. Drivers must do a pre-trip inspection before starting their trip schedule.
About The Vehicles
-
Do the vehicles have a child’s safety seat?
Yes, for children up to 45 lbs. Please let us know ahead of time if you require one. We have some available on a first-come, first-serve basis for no charge. Once they’re spoken for, we work with a company where you can rent them from. Check with us when booking your shuttle.
-
Can I bring my dog in the vehicle?
Yes, as long as we know in advance to make sure there are no passengers travelling with you that are allergic.
-
Can I drink alcohol in the vehicle?
British Columbia law does not allow for open alcohol in any vehicle. However, you are welcome to drink your own non-alcoholic beverages in the vehicle.
